Backing Tracks

Backing tracks of Diana Shik’s songs as independent compositions are quite interesting. We can debate for a long time how many music instruments should be in an arrangement and if all of them should be real-sounding, but we do not do it. Because even when arranging flowers so as to make the composition more expressive we can also add some greenery or dry herbs. What is the most important thing here is the right proportions.

Backing tracks are available in mp3 format, you can download them. They are the high quality studio soundtracks with real sounding instruments and back vocal. Pavel Lee is an arranger of all the backing tracks.

Generally speaking, backing tracks can be variously used. Besides their direct using at a live performance, backing tracks are often required for a video editing as a background instrumental accompaniment (post-synchronization). Lyrical quiet melodies can accentuate and enrich pictures.

The name “Minus Track” appeared as a result of the removal of one sounding instrument from a soundtrack. For a backing track such an instrument is a lead vocal. But it is not done mechanically. Then it is necessary to rearrange the rest of the instruments again. There are also “Minus Two” soundtracks. It means that the back vocal is also absent in such backing track.

You can listen to the backing tracks for «Ocean on the Water» and «The White Balance» Albums, «Moonlight Sonata» Single and the concert performance of Diana Shik.

Some of the backing tracks are exclusively used for a live performance at the concerts. And they are not going to be included in any Album.

When we are listening to melodies of Diana’s songs we imagine the beauty of the snow-capped mountains, the austere simplicity of edelweiss and a riot of greenery on the steep mountainous slopes, hear the sweet roundelay and feel the fragrance of the alpine grasslands. And it seems as if a huge chain of mountains echoes each sound of the melody.
